Go Ahead and Stripe!!!

Not all striped outfits make you look funny or fat!!
There are three different kinds of stripes. They are; vertical stripes, horizontal stripes and diagonal stripes.
Horizontal stripes:  If you are tall with a slim body frame, then going for horizontal stripes would be your best bet, as it would give a little more width to your body and help accentuate your curves.

Vertical stripes: Are suitable for people who are shorter and a little more round. Wearing a vertical striped outfit will automatically give you more height. Vertical stripes elongate the body.
Diagonal stripes: Are regarded as the most flattering of all stripes, as they are ideal for all body shapes. They enhance your curves and give you the curvy hour glass shape look we talked about in the first post.

Be bold, try wearing stripes. They are in vogue this summer and they really look nice.

Don't run away from White shoes

Most people hate wearing white shoes because it can be very difficult to maintain and keep clean but yet some love it because it just makes you look that much classier and cleaner. ‘All white erthing’.
Luckily, I’m here to give you a few tips on how to keep your white shoes sparkling white, even after treading the muddy streets.
One thing you should never ever do is put your shoes in the washing machine. Especially because you think they’re made of clothing fabric. For example, Toms or Vans, unless of course, if you want to say goodbye to them forever.
Things you’ll need
1.       A bowl of water
2.       Some baking soda
3.       A clean, empty bowl to make the mixture
4.       Your old toothbrush
5.       And a spoon
Pour some of the baking powder into the empty container and add a little water. Make sure the mixture isn’t too thin or too thick. It should be somewhere in between. Turn with the spoon until the mixture is smooth.
Dip the toothbrush into the baking soda mixture and brush the mixture all over the shoe until it is covered.
Leave the shoes outside in the sun to dry for about an hour or maybe 30 minutes if it’s a really sunny day. When the shoes are dry, dust off the dried baking soda and Tadda!!!! Your shoes come out as white as snow.

Colours That Suit Your Skin

A lot of you don’t realise that it’s the wrong colour not the wrong outfit. The colours you wear, should compliment your skin tone. Jazmin Whitley, designer of Li Cari label says “there are three major types of skin tones, the dark, fair and olive/medium skin colour” she also gives advice on the colours of clothes to avoid depending on your skin tone.

Dark skinned ladies should avoid having too much brown, black or orange in their outfits. Instead, trying going for lighter shades like plum, lavender or pastel colours. Soft neutrals would also go well with your dark skin.

Fair skinned girls should avoid wearing colours like white, gold or pastels and go for darker colours like black, grey and red, which would compliment their skin tone better.

Medium/olive skinned ladies must avoid wearing clothes with too much golden under tones like caramel, orange and brown and go for colours like pink, red and blue tones.

I guess you get the jig now. Always try contrasting the colour of your skin with the colour of your outfit. Dark skin colour should be contrasted with brighter, eye-catching colours. Do not wash out light skin. If you are light skinned, stand out with stronger colours. With medium skin, always avoid the middle of the road and go either bright or dark with your clothes.

Stay true to your colour!!
