Block the Colours not my Eyes!!

The new trend of colour blocking is fast rising amongst fashion trends. However, some people get it totally WRONG. Please ladies, colour blocking does not mean piling up every colour you can find in your closet and wearing them all at the same time if you are not a clown going for a children’s party.
To get the colour block trend right, you have to know what colours complement each other and how to mix and match these colours. The colour will below should help you identify what colours go well together.

Using the Colour wheel
Analogous colours: Use any of the colours lined up next to each other on the colour wheel. For example; blue, blue green and green would go perfectly when colour blocked
Complimentary colours: Colours placed directly opposite to each other on the colour wheel are perfect for colour blocking your outfits.
90 degree angles: A combination of colours that are at right angle with each other on the wheel.
T- Colours: These are colours that form ‘T’shape on the colour wheel, like; yellow, purple and orange red.
Jewel colours: such as emerald green and ruby red are rich colours and they flatter each other when worn together.
Make sure you keep your colours in the same saturation. That is, neons with neons and pastels with pastels
Sometimes pink can be substituted for red with all the same combinations. Don’t worry it’ll look good.
